Baby, Nappy Rash, Craddle Cap

Aalgo’s single-ingredient formula offers a nurturing and effective approach to healing and soothing your baby’s delicate skin. With complete transparency about the ingredients being absorbed, you gain true peace of mind. Let nature’s raw beauty calm and nourish your baby’s sensitive skin, providing the gentle care they deserve.

Bathing your baby in Aalgo will work to maintain that baby soft skin throughout their childhood and is used often as a family favourite bath. (Trying to say that your baby doesn’t need any skin condition, but this is a lovely protector of that baby soft skin).

Baby Eczema Usage

For a soothing daily bath, add 1 heaped teaspoon of Aalgo to a baby bath or 1 tablespoon to a regular bath. Pat the skin dry very gently to allow the skin to naturally absorb the seaweed’s benefits. Bathe your baby daily until the skin clears, typically within 3-5 weeks, then reduce to 2 times a week to maintain the results.

The Eczema healing process

You will notice the itch will go within the first week and your child will sleep (if the itch has been keeping them awake), allowing the vicious cycle to be broken and giving the skin and body time to heal. Flaky and dry skin will exfoliate away, and new clear, soft, and supple skin will appear.

Eczema Maintenance

Any time you feel the slightest dry skin, give baby an Aalgo bath that night. During teething an Aalgo bath every night will prevent flare up from the stress. Always have an Aalgo bath after swimming in an indoor swimming pool to counteract the effect of the chlorine.

Baby eczema is patches of red, scaly, itchy skin. Sometimes the patches ooze and crust over.

To treat and prevent baby eczema whether severe or slight, help your baby avoid extreme temperatures and anything that seems to bother his or her skin. Try not to wear perfume or after shave when near baby. Do not use baby wipes, only use cotton wool. Keep the room cool and make sure the baths are on the cool side of lukewarm, dry your baby’s skin with gentle pats.

Cradle Cap

We suggest using our Seaweed Shampoo bar to wash your baby’s scalp. Use this when in the bath and gently rinse with Aalgo bath water.  If after the first week this has not helped, mix a teaspoon of Aalgo to a watery cream – cool to almost cold – put on your baby’s scalp while in the bath, leave on for about 50 seconds, and gently rub off with your hand and the bath water. Do this for 3 or 4 days and then go back to washing with Aalgo soap.

NAPPY RASH

To heel and quickly soothe nappy rash add 1 heaped teaspoon of Aalgo to a baby bath or 1 tablespoon to a regular bath. Pat the skin dry very gently to allow the skin to naturally absorb the seaweed’s benefits. Bathe your baby daily until the skin clears. Once cleared regular use will prevent reoccurrence.
